Jitbit AutoText
I have to say that I do not like to wait around and I do not like to waste time on certain tasks; I like to get things done as fast as possible, then move on to something else. If you are like me, then you are going to appreciate the functionality the Jitbit Software-developed application AutoText has to offer. If you have to write a lot of text each and every day, and if you find yourself repeating the same things over, and over, and over again, AutoText can make your life easier by doing part of the typing for you.
Say you have to respond to a lot of emails and you end with a phrase like Thank you very much for contacting us. Instead of typing that entire phrase, you can type tcontact and the aforementioned phrase will show up.
I should mention here that AutoText comes with a preset list of keywords and that tcontact is one of them. There are others, like tfdb (We appreciate your feedback, and will get back to you as soon as possible), or imho (In my humble opinion) or ifqs (If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us). You can edit the existing keywords, which are neatly organized in folders, and you can create new keywords, which you can put in a new folder.
The interface is quite easy to use, so you should not have a problem editing existing keywords, creating new keywords, and creating new folders to store your keywords in.
You can set it up so that AutoText automatically runs at startup, and you can set it up so that keyboard monitoring automatically starts when AutoText starts. Keyboard monitoring has to be enabled for AutoText to work. You can enable keyboard monitoring by accessing the AutoText interface, or you can use a hotkey – the default is Ctr + Shift = F12, but you can change it to anything you want. While AutoText is up and running, it sits in the system tray, waiting for you to call upon it. You can also enable keyboard monitoring by right clicking the AutoText icon in the system tray.
If you do a lot of repetitive typing, then you definitely need to give AutoText a try. Just type in a keyword, and it will type in the phrase associated to that keyword. It is a fun and easy to use application.
